Tomato & Basil Sauce

A simple and delicious Italian classic, this popular Favuzzi sauce combines smooth, crushed Italian tomatoes with fragrant basil for a fresh, savoury flavour. Made with quality ingredients and no preservatives, it’s an easy way to bring authentic Italian taste to your favourite meals.

Uses:
A versatile sauce that pairs beautifully with spaghetti, ravioli, gnocchi, cannelloni, and other pasta dishes. It’s also delicious served with polpette (Italian meatballs) or spooned over arancini.

For the best texture and flavour, try adding a small amount of reserved pasta water to the sauce before combining it with your pasta. The lightly salted, starchy water helps the sauce coat the pasta evenly while enhancing its flavour.

Suggested Proportion:
Approximately 375 mL (1½ cups) of sauce for 500 g (1 lb) of pasta.

Ingredients: Tomato pulp and cherry tomato purée 90% (Italy), extra virgin olive oil, onion, carrots, celery, basil 1%, sea salt, garlic, pepper, acidifier: citric acid.
