Nick Woolf is a Mechanical Engineer at AgriTech North, where he designs, develops, and innovates solutions to advance practical systems for resilient food production in Northern Communities. In his role, he manages research and development projects and contributes mechanical and process-oriented expertise to projects, supporting AgriTech North’s mission of strengthening local food infrastructure and improving sustainability in remote environments
Before joining AgriTech North, Nick worked as a mechanical engineer, process engineer, and design engineer for Aspire Food Group, where he worked on developing equipment and processes for indoor farming of crickets for human consumption. From his work at Aspire he brings a unique perspective on controlled environment agriculture for animal agriculture. He also brings experience in plastics design and manufacturing, facility design, and process design.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His experience with both animal and plant controlled environment agriculture, as well as his experience working with remote medical 3D printing projects, hesupports AgriTech North’s work in developing practical agricultural solutions helping enable food security and food sovereignty for Northern communities.
