Tokyo green onion has long been grown in Japan though native to China and Siberia, and only recently it has become popular in North America. The bulbous green contains Vitamins A, C, K, potassium, iron, copper, and vitamin B6. With a more mild taste, Tokyo long white green onion maintains a sweet flavour and more sophisticated onion taste.
