Hot Pepper - Lal Mirch

Dried red chili powder is the name of this chili in English and is derived from Kashmiri Red Chilies, but grown in Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Goa. The SHU is scaled at 1,000-2,000 which is low for chilis because Lal Mirch is used primarily for its color to make a dish look exquisite, thus also making itself a good substitute for Mathania Chilies.

It carries a fruity flavor and has a long body with the ability to promote digestive health. In fact, the chili also provides vitamin C, B complex, Potassium, Protein, and Fiber. This chili comes from the lands of Mexico which then was brought to Europe just to travel again to Asia. It is also part of the Nightshade family.
